The 2nd Annual New Orleans Kitten Bowl & Tailgate Party is a free event and will be held Saturday, January 31st - Sunday, February 1st at the Big Easy Sportsplex from 11:00 am - 3 pm, both days. The adorable, athletic Who Dat Cats and French Quarter Felines will take the field of their very own “Supurrdome" to showcase their paw-some skills. With fun games, opportunities to win amazing raffle items, and half-time entertainment, the New Orleans Kitten Bowl is fun for people of all ages.

The Jefferson SPCA is one of only ten animal advocacy programs to receive an exclusive invitation from the North Shore Animal League America and Hallmark Channel’s 2015 National Kitten Bowl competition. Last year the Jefferson SPCA took first place, in the national competition, with 40 adoptions. We need your help in making this year a huge success! The organization with the most adoptions is granted a cash prize to support local homeless animals.

I asked one of the smartest people I know about Napoleon Avenue/Mardi Gras route. She is always DAYS before me!

I am so very happy for Megan but as happy as I am, I miss her. Not only from a client perspective, but she helped me so much with Administration. I am thrilled to announce that she has finally found a teaching position doing what she has wanted to do for a very long time. You see, she has a degree from Kent State University in Special Education. She applied for a position in Jefferson Parish and was hired the same day.

I am so proud of her! She will be teaching 6^th grade boys and started in her class room yesterday. We are keeping her on payroll and insurance because she wants to be and will be a great help during holiday times and during the summer. If I asked Megan to help this evening after school she would be here to pick up keys and help. She has been a great addition to our team and again, as much as I will miss her daily, I am so happy for her. She has been with us for years and we are not going to replace her.
