Heads up Team NOLAPC & Garden District Clients

Dear Garden District Neighbors:

Beginning on March 5, a film production set for Django Unchained will be moving into the Garden District for a 10 day period, then back for a few days beginning on March 22; then again on April 29th- May 8. The locations being used for this production are the Wisdom home at 2507 Prytania and The Women's Opera Guild at 2504 Prytania.

Because it will be in the area for an extended period of time and because this is a "period" film requiring more parking clearance for exterior shots, periodic street closures, etc. we are holding a meeting of the affected neighbors prior to load-in. On Monday, February 27th from 5:30 til 6:30 p.m. the Andrew Jackson Condominiums, 1550 Second Street, production managers, city film office personnel and NOPD supervisors will be on hand to help answer questions and handle any specific concerns you may have regarding the production. We ask for your cooperation as we work out the details of this production. Please join us.

We expect that the following neighbors may be impacted by parking restrictions during this time period, though not the entire time period:

~ neighbors on Prytania between First and Fourth streets,
~ neighbors in the 2500 block of St. Charles,
~ neighbors in the 1500 blocks of First, Second and Third streets;
~ and neighbors in the 1400 blocks of First and Second may be impacted.

Django Unchained is a Quentin Tarantino film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Please let us know if you are planning on attending so we can be sure to make proper accommodations for the meeting.
