Dear Residents and Business Owners,

The Fox TV series American Horror Story – Coven will again be filming scenes at a private residence located at 1422 Jackson Avenue on Tuesday September 3 from approximately 7:30am – 8pm.
Please excuse us as we move our working trucks and crew into the neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
We will exercise every effort to be quiet as we go about our work. Please don’t hesitate to ask anyone
with a radio to contact Locations if you have any questions or concerns while we are on site filming. You
can also contact the Locations Department via e-mail or phone using the contact info listed below.
We are registered with the Film New Orleans: the Mayor’s office of cultural economy. You can reach
Katie Williams there at 504-658-0923 to verify our credentials. We will also be working with Law
Enforcement Officers and Traffic Engineering to have traffic control and monitor safety for you and our
crew.

Parking will be reserved with “No Parking” signs in the area for our working trucks & “picture
continuity” in the following blocks. All signs will be promptly removed upon completion of filming:
PLEASE NOTE THE TIMES ON THE “NO PARKING” SIGNS

Tuesday September 3, 7am – 8pm
• 1200 – 1400 blocks of Jackson Avenue (uptown-side only)
• (3/4 block, closest to Jackson Ave) 2200 block of Coliseum Street (lakeside)
In addition to the parking restrictions, for the safety of our crew and residents, law enforcement officers
will temporarily reduce the 1400 block of Jackson Avenue from 2 to 1 driving lanes
(river-bound direction only) during the hours of filming. Please know that no one’s driveway will be
blocked.

The police officers will also temporarily hold vehicular traffic on the 1400 block of Jackson Avenue
(again, river-bound direction) for no more than 3 minutes at a time. Should you have any deliveries,
events or appointments that we should be aware of, please do not hesitate to call us. Thank you for your
patience and support of filmmaking in and around New Orleans.

From NJ SPCA Facebook page...

Patrick's saga began back in March of 2011 and many of you have followed his recovery / transition and the long drawn out legal process. Thank you to the maintenance worker who found Patrick lying near death and who did the right thing. Thank you also to the Associated Humane ACO who transported Patrick to the Associated Humane Shelter where a very dedicated Vet looked into Patrick's eyes and saw a will to live, stabilized him and made a brave decision to transport Patrick to Garden State Veterinary Specialists. GSVS accepted Patrick into their amazing facility and Patrick's long recovery began which many of you witnessed here on our NJSPCA FaceBook page. Thank you to each and every GSVS staff member who lovingly nursed Patrick back to life. Thank you to Dr. Scavelli and Pat Scavelli for loving Patrick and fostering him over the last two and a half years as a member of your family. Thank you to NJSPCA Law Enforcement Division staff Sgt. Al Peterson was the lead Officer on Patrick's case and his investigation led to the eventual arrest and charges of animal cruelty against Kisha Curtis. The long legal road that we all endured together finally culminated with the defendant pleading GUILTY in July. Thank you to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office for your continued focus on this case and thank you to Judge Cassini for making sure every single issue was addressed properly and for your handling of this matter. While the delays were difficult for many to understand the Judge and the Essex County Court system made sure that this case moved forward. A final thank you to all that followed Patrick's journey, wrote letters, sent emails, showed up at court, shared the Patrick posts, got involved in helping animals because of Patrick, adopted an animal because of Patrick, helped spread Patrick's story, prayed for Patrick and to all that followed Patrick's journey here on our NJSPCA FaceBook page......Thank you. You are all amazing animal advocates who understand that it really is all about the animals. Capt is proud of each and everyone of you. Just sayin.......Capt

"Our former shelter located on Japonica Street, lost in Hurricane Katrina, was more than just a location.  It resides in our community's collective memory as a special place where friendships were formed between people and animals, where animals were rescued and sheltered from pain, and where unconditional love was celebrated.  It will always remain a part of who we are and honors all those who found a friend on Japonica Street."

August 29, 2005

It was around 6:30am that we first started seeing the Federal Failure unfold.  I am not sure that those of us that lived it will ever be the same.

To my dear clients, friends and family - those that weathered the storm and helped us weather the storm... You are blessings to me.

I wish I could say I did not know anyone who died on and around 8.29.05 but I do.  Before I started my day I listened to "May His Soul Rest In Peace" and watched the images closely.  At 4:42 that beautiful horn is Derek.  I vividly remember sitting in St. Louis Cathedral in December of 2005 and listening to that song for the first time.  I am not sure there was a dry eye in the place.  I will never forget y'all... and never forget all of those that died so senselessly.

▶ Irvin Mayfield jr - Carnegie Hall - "May His Soul Rest In Peace" - YouTube:

I will never forget the clients and friends that we never had the opportunity to say goodbye to.

I will never forget how difficult rebuilding my home and business was...

I will never forget those that helped me get past those dark days...

Thank you to our pre and post Katrina clients for sticking with us and choosing us. And to my team those past and current. I am grateful for you...

New Orleans Pet Care was always a dream of mine. Silly perhaps - but my dream... realized and reborn.

Viva New Orleans! Onward and upward...
