Lesson learned...

One of our last tuck in visits a few minutes ago is an enormous house with an enormous generator... that was running but not working.  This is a great time of the year to make sure to test those systems!

It was HOT in the house and Mommy made the contractor go this PM to fix it.  She will not let those babies be in a hot dark house.

Team New Orleans Pet Care:

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Y'all are the best and we all appreciate it.

What is that water doing in the street?

Update!

Erin's house is fine! Funny thing - a client is her double mate! Such a small city!  Lightning struck an electrical box and caused a flame and a boom.  Thank goodness the neighbor phoned 911 and they were on top of it.  All of the pets (no clients staying with her this PM) are fine. Thank goodness it is all fine.

Note from Schnauzer Rescue... Can you help?

It's been a very busy year for us at Schnauzer Rescue.  Last year, thanks to your help, we placed 24 dogs in great homes.  This year, through June, we are at 20.  We would take more dogs but we need to get these guys adopted as we are short on foster space.  So please contact us if you are interested in fostering or adopting one of these great dogs, and pass this email to your friends and co-workers.

We have Buddy, a one year old white male who loves to play with toys, is up to date on his shots, heartworm negative, neutered, housebroke, microchipped, , and all around adorable.  He was surrendered when his owner lost their home to foreclosure.

Smokey, a 1-1/2 year old salt and pepper male was surrendered by the same owner.  He is affectionate, loves to go for walks and is very good on the leash.  He too is up to date on his shots, heartworm negative, neutered, housebroke, microchipped, and adorable also - he will tell you that himself!

Bandit is a 16 month old black and silver male, owner surrender, who loves to play with toys too, is up to date on his shots, heartworm negative, neutered, housebroke, microchipped, loves to go on walks and to the dog park.

All three get along great with other dogs, cats, and kids.

Please consider adopting one of these great little guys, they will bring a smile to your face every day!  Please contact us meet one of these great guys!

Please also check out our Facebook page, we are still working on it, but are getting better at it!

Thanks!

Open note to Jessica... on her last day -

When you left us for Nursing School, it was not your last day with us… I always hoped and was thrilled that you would return in this transition time.  But now – it is time for me to let you go.

Not often do those that come into your life as a “Team Member” transition so beautifully into your life as a friend and part of your family.  Post Katrina, when I met you Jessica, all of our lives were still in such a state of flux and my business was in massive rebuilding phase.  Within the first twenty minutes, I was sure you were going to be what we needed but I never imagined how true that would come to be.  You allowed me to rely on you for every aspect of this business and my personal life and you have never disappointed me and always kept me laughing.  You are one of the most amazing, caring, loving, trustworthy persons I have ever met.  I can’t imagine those early years without you and I certainly can’t imagine life without you.

I am proud of you and I thank you for all of these years and I know that you will be a huge success because that is just who you are.

I am so happy for you… I am excited to see what life has in store for you.  Gogetumgirllllllll!

Baby Winston

1.15.2004 - 7.19.2012
We lost a baby today...  Post Katrina I could literally write my Team schedules on post it notes.  I was so blessed when a wonderful new client Mom & Dad who traveled a lot found us and let us be part of the family!  They eventually left the city to build a house far, far, far away and we did not get to see them anymore.  She is a wonderful Mommy and has been my personal Pet Photographer for both Remy and my babies.  Winston could not not have been more loved.  This boy was such a lovable goof.  We have missed him, I know his Mom and Dad will miss him and he was one lucky, lucky little boy to have been blessed with this family.  You are on your journey now Winston... watch over everyone (especially Mommy) and live again.    I love y'all BM!

Sorry - we just have to from time to time...

You like this face?!

I am lovable - depending on who you are.
I would not cross me unless you know me.

These smiles crack me up...
