A woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint early Tuesday morning  around 3:30 am near St. Charles Avenue and Sixth Street, as released by the NOPD and reported by the Uptown Messenger

The woman was walking near the Avenue when she was approached by a stranger carrying a gun.  He demanded her belongings, according to the initial police report. She threw her purse at him. He took her cash, credit cards and her other items before fleeing the scene. The GDSD patrol was not called.
