#Karen - I will never have a laissez fair attitude!

Let me say this... I would not change a thing that we did to prepare for Karen.  It gave us an opportunity to test the systems we have in place.  I would much rather be over prepared than have a laissez faire attitude and be under prepared.

Thanks to my team and my clients that "get it".  This was my Facebook post from the 3rd.  Y'all are super protective of us and you have no idea how much I appreciate y'all.

Latest on TS Karen. In my defense... I know it is early on and the reason I am watching and keeping people updated is because of the number of clients that we have traveling. It is an insurance obligation as well. So to the person who just sent me the private message about being an "alarmist" (the former "FB friend and now former client) that is why I choose to run my business this way. I hope it does not come near, I hope it does not give us any difficulty at all but my former client and facebook friend - "Hope is not a plan".

  • D Are they nuts? Better to be prepared than sorry... You keep on doing what you do.
  • JHaving a plan in place is the smartest way to work. Better to have a plan and not have to use it than the other way around!! Nicole Douget, ignore the jerk.
  • Nicole Douget Thanks y'all! You can't kill um and you can't make them smarter. I get at least one a year!
  • Or in other words... "Ya just can't fix stupid"
  • D I don't think you are an alarmist. Just a good business woman.
  • J Not only a good business woman, but someone who cares for other's people's babies! She has lives in her hands!
  • A You guys are the best!! That is why I choose to have you watch my kids for me!! What would I do without you guys!!!

  • Nicole Douget Thank y'all. I was not fishing for complements I swear it! Shannon.... I love it! Sincerely - thanks and thanks for supporting us. It means more than y'all will ever know.
  • R I feel compelled to admit I too first heard about "Karen" from you
  • J We're fans. Your work is above reproach. Thank you for it.
  • C Thx for keeping us all posted. Doesn't matter if we're in town, outta town or all over town, lol. You keep doing what you've been doing! And we all love ya for it!
  • B This is BS Nicole! You are smart and taking care of all of us. I never read the news and because of you I found out about this and made plans to not travel!!
  • E Hope for the best. Plan for the worst Works for me.
  • R It is amazing how soon people forget the tragedies of 8 short years ago!
  • KApparently, your former client is not a Katrina survivor!, eh? I am *still* in exile-hell and all I learned surviving that disaster is *still* with me!
  • B They said "Don't worry..." About Katrina

  • K @Barbara - No one, and I mean NO ONE said "don't worry" about Katrina. Did you not hear about, much less read the award-winning series of articles by the T-P that warned us all that a disaster was coming? This was several years before Katrina. Even Ray-Ray Ragin was worried, even though he did *nothing* to prepare his "chocolate city".

  • Nicole Douget Kim she is referring to some clients that had that "no worry attitude" and decided not to return to NOLA.
  • T You go, Nicole! You and your staff ROCK! I will testify to your care and interest in your 4-footed clients AND their 2-footed families.
  • S We always worry Nicole Douget Look what that piddly ass category 1 storm Isaac did to this town - I was 9 days without power and my little suffered outrageously.
  • Elizabeth Schonberg New Orleans Per Care is the most well run and organized pet care business and the ONLY one I would trust to care of my clients' dogs for reasons like your preparedness. Keep up the good work!

  • SI really appreciate all that you do and have done and have never had better pet care, ever.
  • R I love you guys!
  • KThanks, Nicole.
  • Nicole Douget Y'all are the best! Thanks so much!
  • D I am deeply grateful for your vigilance and trust you completely. Perhaps this other silly person should move to Antarctica where they don't have tropical storms!
  • K I appreciate knowing that you're going to let me know if ANYTHING seems off with my babies, my house, or the larger environment, so if that means you're an alarmist, well, so be it! I mean, really! "That storm is prolly no big deal...oops sorry, your window blew out and your cats are prolly around here somewhere, don't worry" just does not work for me at all. I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling this way.
