Marisa & Bowie

Marisa's last week with us was a few weeks ago but she just left New Orleans this morning heading to Veterinary School in Scotland!  She did such an amazing job pitching in when we needed her and was a fantastic member of our Team.  We are going to really miss her and having Bowie hanging around too!  The great news is, I think Marisa will be in our lives for a very long time and I know four years will fly by!  We will see y'all soon...  jusqu'à ce que!

Jessica Jacob - RN

I am thrilled to announce that next week is Jessica's last week with us.  As you may know, she just finished her Nursing Degree and is now an official RN.  She starts her new role at a a Dialysis Facility in a few weeks.  I am so happy and proud of her.  She started with us in 2006 and took time off for Nursing School.  We have loved having her back but were so hopeful that it would be not long.  I could not be any happier for her.  As I said to the person that checked her reference - "Jessica is one of the most consistent, loving, patient and caring person I have ever known."  It has been a fantastic 6 years and I am so blessed to not only call her a Team Member (if only for one more week) but a friend and little sister for life. 

I am proud of you Jessica!  

OH HAPPY DAY!

Some of you may have noticed a note from Jessica today...  She is just finishing nursing school and will be joining us until she completes her certification test (whatever that is called) and gets her next step in life job.  We are so thrilled to have her back!

I am being very cautious with your babies and my team. We are limiting our outside time and playing inside for a portion of the visit today. Quick - We need to bust into a rain dance everyone!

New adventures...

After almost 6 years, the time has come... Sawyer is leaving us and heading to a new adventure in Uganda, Africa. I know you all join us in wishing her much success on this amazing opportunity and journey. Safe travels Sawyer!

Got up at 3:45am to watch the Royal Wedding with her 17 year old kitty - Frau. Mike made the sign for Pamela to wave so she felt like part of the crowd! Love me some Mike and Pamela....

Check out Derek (my brother) and his students from the Jazz & Heritage Foundation at Snug Harbor. Awww! They (his students) are playing at French Quarter Festival & Jazz Festival. Check them out if you can. They are the future of jazz in New Orleans!
