Tania and Julieta

Tania Velasco (L) and Kim Dudek (R) helped rescue sweet Julieta from the
disaster zone in Chile. This sweet survivor, whose back legs are crippled,
is recovering at Dag's House in New Orleans, where she'll be cared for
until she finds a forever home.

WHAT: Fundraiser at the home of Tania Velasco, 8 Trianon Plaza, New Orleans, 70125
WHERE: Saturday, APRIL 17th Noon - 3pm Enjoy vegan and vegetarian Chilean dishes
(salads), bread, fruit drinks and wine.

(Toys and treats for our HSL sanctuary animals are always welcome, too!)

Humane Society of LA member and Chilean native, Tania Velasco, is working
to help the animal victims of the earthquake. She's taken on the difficult
task of airlifting dogs out of the disaster zone.

Disaster in Chile

Two Humane Society rescue volunteers are also set to deploy to the region -
Cheri Deatsch and Courtney Chandel. Cheri will be in attendance at the fundraiser,
along with Tania Velasco, who will give a brief presentation on the
current situation in Chili.

Can't attend but want to make a donation to help animals in Chile?
Please make a contribution to support these efforts on our web site
and note that it is intended for 'Chilean relief'.
