Stop raining!

Messing up M's mojo!

K5 reflection...

Five years ago today, I kept telling people all day... "I feel like I am arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic". I did not realize how true that would become. We left New Orleans at 3:30PM and took "back roads" to our family home in Gonzales. What would generally be a 55 minute drive would become 90 minutes. We were lucky...

K5 reflection... Odd!

When I posted my K5 reflection today, I had not seen the paper/story today. My husband just told me about it... Crazy!

Hi Jessica!

Hunter misses you too!

Game Day baby!

Why doesn't anyone listen to me?

K5 reflection...

My side fence...

My neighbor, Crazy Bob (if you see him... don't tell him we call him that! Not bad crazy... well, not all bad... funny, odd, NOLA crazy), owns a rug shop on St. Charles Avenue. We evacuated with Remy (his wife's poodle... she left with her 96 year old Aunt) and would come back in the days and weeks following and drop him off with Bob.

Bob never left the city and several large media outlets had a camp behind his shop so he was as safe as one could be at the time. We would bring in supplies, drop Remy, work in the city, pick up Remy and go back to our home in Gonzales.

Bob's signs got stranger and stranger as time went by... He was offered BIG money for them but declined. It was Bob who painted the "looters shot" signs all over the Garden District and on St. Charles Avenue between his shop and here. UGH!

Remy reminds me of my Remy and those dark days that followed the storm. I see him all of the time... we have something special between us and I love him.

In the months post Katrina, my weekly team schedules were written on Post-it notes... Literally! I came very, very close to closing the business... Hard days but we did it!

Today, we have exceeded at our Pre Katrina client number. Weekly schedule averages about 12/14 pages! Post-it notes are used for... well, notes!

We love y'all and I thank you so much for all of your support... I could not have done it without y'all.

Dear Danielle & Earl:

The East Coast is lovely this time of the year... Earl - follow your big sister!

Henri

Still not 100%. My poor darling baby boy...

Lil Bug needs a home...

Lil Bug is 9/10 weeks old, special needs, Silver Lab who weighs 9 pounds. Both of her parents are Silver Labs. Her entire litter was turned into rescue when their owner tried to sell them at a pet store in the French Quarter.

Lil Bug is the only one in her litter who has a condition known as Labrador Dwarfism. She loves to play hard with all of her litter mates and she is very bright, alert and loving. She is calmer than most puppies and she loves to be held.

Please let me know if you can take this beautiful little girl into your home. Also, I am trying to help her rescuer off set the cost of the Lab work and initial medical expenses... If you can contribute, I will forward her email address.

Play time with Sawyer!

So cute...
