Mother Stuns Son with Supportive Letter After He Comes Out on Facebook

I know this has nothing to do with NOLAPC but it is so heartwarming. The world could be such a better place if everyone was as loving and supportive as this Mother and as courageous as this Son.

Baby Enzo is fighting for his life...

One of our families is suffering and struggling and it breaks our heart.  I spoke to Mom the other day and she is allowing me to post because - they need all the prayers, thoughts and good vibes that they can possibly get. So to whomever you pray or in your reflection... please keep Enzo and his parents in your thoughts.

The family came to us when Carrie was pregnant and she wanted to make sure that their fur baby Jax was getting daily exercise and that we could tend to the litter box daily as well. They have been with us from that point forward...

All was well with this beautiful family until August 6th.

From Enzo's Caring Bridge page...

"As many of you know, our sweet little Enzo showed signs of being seriously ill on August 6th and was admitted to the Pediatric ICU at Children's Hospital on Friday Aug. 9th.  His working diagnosis is Guillain Barre* Syndrome.

As anyone who has met him knows, Enzo is an amazing little man.  He is incredibly strong and brave, and we know that he will beat this and WILL make a full recovery.  We are in wonderful hands here at Children's Hospital which makes an impossibly difficult situation easier to bear.  We have been in touch with many of you individually, and we deeply appreciate everyone's love, support and prayers.  Please keep all of that coming.

Love, Kenny, Carrie & Enzo"

(*Guillain-Barre syndrome is a serious disorder that occurs when the body's defense (immune) system mistakenly attacks part of the nervous system. This leads to nerve inflammation that causes muscle weakness and other symptoms.)

Enzo is still at Children's and making progress but has a long road ahead.  We give his babies a kiss for him every day.  I just can't imagine what Enzo's parents are going through.  I can't imagine having a healthy, happy baby one day and the next being in the NICU.

If you would like to follow Enzo's progress and offer support, I know Mom, Dad and Enzo would all appreciate it.  I am sure words of encouragement are helping them through this difficult time.

We love y'all Madona family. Whatever you need... we are here.

Hi Mommy!

WDSU story...

The only news station I watch just did a story about a new restaurant in the Quarter.  I laughed out loud... not because it was a funny story but - only in NOLA!  Watch -

L wants to play toys... Murph wants nothing to with it.

Murph = not a morning person.

If you had to hear the dog for one minute -

You would go all Vincent van Gough.

Cat missing from Delta Airlines Cargo area...

PLEASE SHARE: A black spayed female cat, transported to New Orleans, with two other cats, via Delta Airlines never made it to the Cargo area. Her carrier was placed on the cargo cart from the plane, but she escaped in transit from the plane to the cargo area. When they inspected her carrier, two bolts and nuts had popped off allowing her escape from the carrier. Her owners are very distraught as they are searching for their third cat coming all the way from Ohio. I met this couple at the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter yesterday afternoon. Please share this information far and wide so we can bring Cookie home!
