Passive Aggressive email from GDS.... Heads up neighbors!

Please don't let friends/tourists/people you see stumbling - drink and walk.  Nothing good comes of it!

YELLO - I know our city can appear to be the adult Disneyland... it is not.  Not blaming the victim... Really I am not.  If the victim was that trashed... he did a pretty good job of race, height, hair, etc.

"Early this morning, we received a report of an armed robbery in the 1500 block of Second Street, though the location of the actual incident is unknown at this time.

The victim was a 29 yr male from Canada. The victim was on Bourbon Street drinking with friends on 12/30/2014.  At about 1am the victim  decided to leave his friends and walk home. The victim was extremely intoxicated. The victim admits that he did not know if he walking in the right direction because he was so intoxicated. Victim stated he was just walking and at some point Uptown he encountered two black males, unknown clothing description, one subject short hair cut the other short dreadlocks. Both subjects were about 5’7. The subjects offered to assist the victim. The victim refused their help at which point the victim walked away. The subject attacked the victim and robbed the victim. The victim stated after the robbery he walked until he noticed someone at 1550 second St and notified them of the incident. The victim was unable to give us a location of where the robbery occurred.
Again, we ask that you take every precaution and use the patrol as often as necessary.  GDSD patrol 899-4373."

Amazing!

Heads up Garden District neighbors!

From GDS

Because of the recent uptick in crime in our area and nearby uptown areas, the GDSD Board of Commissioners has taken added precautions to increase patrol coverage starting today until the weekend.  We once again encourage you to use the patrol to report any suspicious activity right away and to use the escort service as often as possible.  Be sure to give the patrol number to your family and guests to use as well.  The number to contact the officers on duty is 899-4373 (GDSD).  Put this number in your cell phone as a direct contact number for easy access, and add it to your first responder list for your home alarm.

Other things you can do to be safer:

Remove all items from your car to remove the temptation of would be criminals.   This is a simple thing we all can do to help keep our family and neighbors safer.

Keep your exterior lights on throughout the night.  The beautiful trees in the Garden District add to its darkness.  Any amount of light helps to deter crime.

Here’s hoping we all have a safe and happy New Year!

S decided that rest was more a priority...

Lesson learned and I am sorry... (Updated)

UPDATED - Tuesday 12.30.14 - Not that sorry DMX.

"While it is true DMX was arrested in 2008 for animal cruelty, the story about his purported 2014 arrest on charges related to dogfighting is a complete work of fiction: Infossip was the only source to report on this "news," and the photos used in this fake news article were actually taken from a dog fighting raid in August 2013 which resulted in the arrest of eight people (none of whom were n

Y'all - Please share... this darling needs to get home!

Hey Nicole,

My coworker found this little darling at Rock-N-Bowl on Christmas Day. He is a young intact male. He was filthy, but in otherwise good condition. He was scanned once for a chip and will be re-scanned. He was wearing a dirty collar with no tags. (the collar in the photos is new.)

My coworker is trying to hold on to him until his person can be located. Craigslist post is here:https://neworleans.craigslist.org/pet/4820842619.html

Our little house guest has started doing the same thing that Henri and Isabelle do and I think it is sort of funny. Meanwhile... they all give little M side eye and all he wants to do is PLAY!

Three people on Second Street just off Magazine in the Irish Channel were robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening, New Orleans police said.

The victims — a man and a woman both around 60, and another woman in her 20s — were in the 1000 block of Second Street just before 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, when they were approached by four assailants, according to the initial NOPD report. The attackers demanded the victims’ belongings at gunpoint, then left, the report states.

Further details were not immediately available. Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at 822-1111.

Thank you Mother Nature!

Rant... 8:30am ish...

So this little one was tied to a tree in front of The Rink on Washington and Prytania this morning.  It is really not uncommon for people to do so while getting coffee.  I will never understand that but... whatyagonna do.  As the babies and I were passing she was literally choking herself trying to get away.  I walked into the coffee shop and asked (loudly) if she was someones dog.  A young lady yelled "she is mine".  I told her she was choking herself trying to get loose to which she said - "if she chokes herself she will learn her lesson.."  Well I pray she is fine now. I wish I would have taken her.  She is not there any more.  Rope attached to the tree. I hope her wonderful owner had a leash with her and has her but somehow I doubt it.  If you see her in the neighborhood, please phone me.  I have contacted Garden District Security, Commanders, our clients that are neighbors, etc.  I swear if I see the lady again I am going to take it to a level that could result in being brought up on charges.

Relaxin on a warm Sunday!

Last game of the season!

Here we geaux!

I am purrrrrfect!

We had to do it again! What is going on?!

This time - no step ladder, but Pamela!  Come on lock company.  You are killing us!

Nothing like stepping on a cinder block, over a gate on to a trash can, walking on the side of a porch gate to get into a yard.  No broken bones.  #professional.  We will do whatever we have to do to get in.  Electronic key pad gates are not always the best!

Come back soon...

You do what you gotta do!

Saturday break in...  Darn key pad on the gate! Works perfectly until... days into holiday travel.

Her woke up with all of her babies...

Awww Mother Nature: I love you!

This made my night!

Sweet Lady...

Darling little angel.  We are all just devastated... every loss is hard but loosing you has shaken all of us.  You don't know this but after Hurricane Katrina, you were one of our first babies.  They literally "fought" over who got to see you everyday.  You are just one of those little ones that we could not get enough of.  I know you were old and tired but so happy...  Bradley took this yesterday afternoon.  You were so happy in the sun but he could tell you did not feel so good.

I hope you found Remy little girl.  You are in good company and he will take care of you.  I closed my eyes last night and I thought about how much love we have for you and how much we will miss you.  Watch over your family and make sure they feel your presence.
