Are you familiar with the Louisiana Search & Rescue Dog Team?

The Louisiana Search & Rescue Dog Team are working along side the Louisiana National Guard, National Park Service employees and Jefferson parish Sheriff's deputies in the search for Dr. Francisco Piedrahita in the Barataria Preserve of Jean Lafitte National Park since Saturday.

The members of the volunteer Louisiana Search and Rescue Dog Team, LaSAR, have made a commitment to assist the community by training dogs and their handlers to excel in the rescue or recovery of lost children, hunters, drowning victims and others. It is this commitment to the community, which remains the guiding force behind LaSAR.

They are a great organization and we are really blessed to have such dedicated volunteers and handlers! (Wink, Wink! - we know who does the hard part!)
