Justice for Phantom - The Louisiana SPCA

From LASPCA website

In 2009, NOPD K-9 Officer Phantom was taken on an unauthorized private detail with Sgt. Randy Lewis, his animal handler and partner. While surveying the deserted building, NOPD K-9 Officer Phantom fell down an elevator shaft where he was left to die. His body was recovered the following morning, hours after he had fallen to his death and subsequently abandonded by Sgt. Lewis.
We are demanding justice for Phantom and need your help. As a supporter, a friend, and as an advocate for animals, we are asking that you join us in attending the closing arguments of this case to take a stance against animal neglect and cruelty.
Please join us this Friday, February 1st at 1:30 p.m. in Section C of Orleans Parish Criminal District Court. Our presence will make an important statement in support of Phantom, Primo (see right), and all of the animals who have suffered wrongful deaths.
For more information on the case, please refer to the below article from the Times-Picayune.
