Attention all pet owners in the New Orleans area:

A friend lives on a side street off Esplanade Ave close to the City Park side of Esplanade. She heard the other morning someone calling" Here Kitty Kitty" at the back of her driveway. She saw a teenage light skin black male trying to take one of her cats. He was all the way up her driveway. He ran away when confronted.

Later in the day a neighbor saw 3 young black males, including this one from earlier, taking another neighbor's 2 french bulldogs from the yard. They were climbing back over a 6 FOOT FENCE! They dropped the dogs & ran.
She got pictures of them running away & a pic of the LICENSE PLATE NUMBER!!!

The police are investigating. Other neighbors saw a car with dark windows driving slowly in the neighborhood earlier in the day.
It is believed they were trying to steal peoples' pets to be used as bait in dog fighting.
The cat & the 2 French Bulldogs were not harmed.
Please keep your pets inside. Watch your neighborhood for unfamiliar cars & people.
