An incident involving an attempted armed robbery at 2900 St. Charles which occurred on 8-9-15 shortly after midnight. Two residents were sitting on the steps of their residence when a black male in his early 20s and wearing a mask approached them, pulled out a gun and demanded money. Both victims had no money on their person so the subject became frustrated and fled on foot down St. Charles towards Louisiana Ave. without taking anything from either victim. All other GDSD units, including NOPD 6th district units searched the area for the subject, but were unable to locate him.
