Wonderful but honestly Nicole this is the time everyone needs to help their own, please let everyone know that is what will make us feel the best! If they want to help us, spread awareness of our services to those in need, sign up for our newsletter at www. Theinnerpup.org and see on our website how prevention is providing progress in animal welfare. Love,
Crying is okay.
If you feel like bursting into tears… you are not alone. A lot of us have been there done that and we feel like that too. If you are new here - welcome. We take the good with the bad but we don’t walk away. We roll up our sleeves and we do what we can.
Please don’t criticize people for not evacuating… some people can’t afford to do so and that is why it is important for those that can stay to help those that could not.
If you are able, please reach out and I am able to direct you to those that I know of that are in need.
We were able to accomplish a good bit today. A big delivery in route to Cara's House-Ascension Parish Animal Shelter courtesy and coordinated by Genie Goldring and The Inner Pup with help from Minnie S Ruiz .
I am worried sick about Riverlands Animal Hospital in La Place but can’t reach anyone… Will work on that again first thing tomorrow AM.
Also I am sure Zeus' Place could use some hands on help! If nothing to perhaps walk dogs and cuddle cats.
Please let me know if you know of someone else in need and we can try to connect resources. Texting me is the best way to get me. Please do not DM. 504.289.6355
We got this. Not easy… never is but… we will be ok.
6 days…
Exhausted. Not just me… all of us. We got it. We have done it before and sadly we will do it again. It is just so exhausting.
Saturday
Things we are working on today… (also still in the dark)
1. Nanny Service- but for actual little children.
2. 18 wheeler with supplies coming from NY/New Orleans. Just coordinated a stop for Cara’s House and hoping to get into La Place today to see what they may need.
No power on for my team yet… fingers crossed progress on that front is made today!
(If you know of a nanny… let me know)

Thursday
As it stands today, none of us have power. Erin, Michelle and Cheryl have all evacuated. I am at our house in Ascension Parish but we do have generators and window units. As soon as power is restored in NOLA I will be back and able to stay there. They will follow quickly when they have power as well. So at the moment, we will halt service until that time. I do realize some of you have no other option but to work and please let me know if you can't find some help and I will try to figure it out for us.
Stay safe and trust that I appreciate each and every one of you.
Please stay in touch.
I am updating the blog daily if you would like to follow along.
