Heads up Garden District neighbors... 4th & Camp Street

from a report by the NOPD given to GDSD:

On October 6, 2013 at 10:08 Pm officers responded to an armed robbery by gun that occurred at the intersection of Fourth and Camp St. Upon arrival officers met with the victim’s who stated the following:
Around 9:45 PM they began walking Westbound towards Milan St. on Camp St. Upon approaching the intersection of Fourth they observed an unknown black male walking towards them. Moments later the black male stopped them and stated” Give me the cash you have.” After making the statement the unknown black male lifted his grey hooded sweatshirt and displayed a silver handgun in his waistband. Immediately after seeing the gun, one victim pulled out his wallet and handed the unknown black male fifteen dollars in cash. The black male grabbed the cash and immediately put his hand in victim two’s right front pocket and searched around. The suspect asked victim two if he had any cash on his person.  Victim two informed him he only had a phone. The suspect stated”That does me no good,”in regards to the cell phone. The suspect finally informed them to turn around and walk back from where they came. The two turned around and walked away. The suspect made his escape in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described to be a black male approximately five foot nine with a medium build. The suspect was clean shaven and was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt.
The victims were not residents of the neighborhood and the GDSD patrol was not called.  There is no further information available at this time.
