Would you like to adopt Digger?

I received the following via email and really want to help Digger... You will understand!

Dear Miss Nicole,

My name is Digger. I was born in New Orleans, but now I live in Pensacola, Florida. My life was good-- just living here with my father, Derby, and an ugly Hurricane Katrina victim-dog named Candy. That is, until last year. My human-dad brought home an abandoned cat from a nearby schoolyard. Her name is Scout, and she is an evil devil. Even though I helped to raise her, she has brought tension and fear into the house. She hides and attacks, bites and scratches, and is always breaking stuff. She even gets on the kitchen countertop. She has totally taken over, and I just can't take it any more. I was thinking of running away to live with you. I saw your web site, and your place looks cool. I think you know my human, Ed. Even if I can't come live with you, I hope we can still be friends.

Your buddy,
Digger

Regarding - Two lab babies need a home (posted 2/11)

I got an email from a blog reader named James this morning... THANKS JAMES! "The 2 labs got homes already in Southern California. The original email address has been flooded. The alternate yahoo.com email is wrong. This email got legs of its own now and has morphed into an email hoax. Here is the original story:"

Out of control... I must have received two/three email forwards for the past week about this story. So frustrating when all people want to do is help! I am thrilled that they have had a home for almost a month!

Two Lab babies need a new home...

In the last two weeks I have received four emails from four different people with this very similar story. It breaks my heart... Can anyone help these two babies?

The family has lost their home and the new apartment does not allow dogs. They are looking for a home for the two Labs.... The story - "As many of you know, we are moving in just 2weeks..Unfortunately, I have still not been able to find a good home for Cookie and Coco. We're not able to take our beloved doggies with us and I've been desperately trying to find a home for both of them 'together'. They were raised together and pine without each other. The Lab rescue have already said that they would probably separate them, so this is my last resort. Recently I tried to take Coco out in my car alone and she TOTALLY refused to even get into the car without cookie.....!!!! She absolutely pulled back on her haunches until Cookie was by her side. Both doggies are in great health, have been spayed and have ID chips implanted under the skin. Cookie turned 3 December 10th and Coco will be 3 April 1st. Cookie is my mellow-yellow, and just loves her tummy rubbed. Coco is adorably funny and lives for her "ball". She also loves the water..... Cookie loves lots of attention. Both doggies are loyal and love to walk. They have been raised with my 3 kids running around all over the place, and have survived Sammy's constant hugging and love of 'dress-up', so they are fantastic family dogs. This is by far one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make, but under the circumstances I have no choice. Please, Please forward these pics to all you know and help me find a great home for all from the bottom of my heart. They are just adorable and it's heartbreaking to let them go. In a perfect world, I hope that we could find someone local so that we can still keep in touch and visit them. I pray that someone, somewhere can help us keep Cookie and Coco together, and love them just as much as we do. Thank you"

Looking for a forever home...

One of our amazing clients sent this to me via email today...
Can someone help find this beautiful baby a home?

"My husband found this wonderful male 2 year old miniature schnauzer running across west Esplanade . He must have been on his own for a month or more . We took him to the vet and he is thin but very healthy . Better behaved than my three dogs . He is a perfect little dog .
We need to find him a good forever home. "
