My major ick!

You have to rotate and clean water bowls with every meal too. Read all about it...

Bacteria Alert: Why You Need to Keep Your Dirty Dog Bowls Clean

Dog water dishes are just as unsanitary as food bowls. When your dog drinks, they transfer germs from their mouths (and possible contamination from their food), and dog water at room temperature is an excellent habitat for bacteria. Could you be sure to give your pet fresh water at every feeding?

Finally... it is the 15th of November and I am finally -

getting to the top five read and shared blog posts.
It has been one heck of a month (and a heck of a year!) . Thank you for reading and sharing!

  1. Charismatic Minifauna Never Touch Anything That Looks Like Donald Trump’s Hair

Be careful and keep a watchful eye!

We are crossing our fingers and paws that this little girl gets a home.  She stayed at Crescent City Vet  for a few weeks and they took such good care of her.  Dr. Henry is so wonderful to us.  We found a potential family and they named her Juliette.  Her Dad is in the midst of taking his "boards" and we hope that after the 21st she will get to live with them on a farm in Picayune, Mississippi. She is doing great but having to learn manners.  It is obvious that she was only used to breed. She is HW+ and still needs to be spayed but all in time...  Her perspective Grandmother has been visiting her at Canine Connection  and I hope that the family decides to keep her.  I can't thank team CC enough for taking care of her for us and Megan for taking her to her follow up appointments.

5.  I have insurance obligations.  I get some side eye and shade but... I don't care.

I can't post photos so...

Random thoughts - If I ever get a farm...

I am going to need a chicken.  Not like my yard chicken.  A real chicken.

I am going to need a deer.

I am going to need a deer stand so I can sit and watch them.  When they come, I am going to feed them and make sure they know who the bad guys are.

I am going to need a truck.

I am going to need a 4wheeler.

I am going to need a farm dog. My dogs are inside dogs.

I am going to need a large fish tank with one fish so I can dedicate my love to just shem.

I am going to need to stop this Blogger war so I can focus.  I hate Blogger war.  I hate that Blogger stops me from posting photos.  I like you Blogger but I do not love you at the moment.

These always amaze me...top five December blog posts:

Mommy - Really - 12.12.13

What makes this even more sad they are on the verge of another loss...

Such a sad article...

Really?  I am a total dork.

We can do that - 12.27.13
You have no idea what we get asked to do.  And, we do it!

November Blog Recap

Man this month went by fast... I feel like I lost a few days!

I took the personal stuff out of these... enough about the brain.  I actually have one, the tumor is gone and I have the most horrible hair cut EVER!  Onward and upward...

1. Audubon Park area... One of our clients lost her dog.
He was found the next day... safe and sound kicking it at the SPCA

2. The power of the Internet and Social Media
More Nacho... His story was shared 563 times by Saturday morning

3. Woman Claims United Airlines almost killed her dog...
We are getting more and more requests to transport animals across the country vs people flying them.  I could NEVER fly the babies unless they were sitting nicely in the seats next to me.

4.Current Recalled
Read, phone the number on the product, google - whatever... just make sure you know what you are giving them!

5. YUBS
One of three...  They live the life honey!

It has been so crazy... I forgot to post the October blog recap!

1.  It is not rocket science... It is just brain surgery
If you read it, please forgive the format... blogger and I have fights and that was one of the days.  It is getting close... Wednesday is the big day.  I am anxious but ready to get it over with.

2. Tastefully Offensive:  Cats Stealing dog beds
I could watch this all day.  It cracks me up!

3. This darling baby needs a home...
And found one!

4.  Ohhh look what someone did...
These three kill me!

5. Gizmo
I am not sure if he has found a home.  Bless Animal Rights For Life

September - Top 5 read and shared blog posts

1.  Cat Missing from Delta Airlines Cargo

Firstly, I could not believe the outpouring of support for this beautiful little girl.  I had more offers of  money and fosters than I would  have ever imagined.  She was adopted in her home town of Bowling Green.

I don't even know where to start with this one.  Firstly, we never identify clients unless given permission. This family is one of our Monday - Friday clients who adore their pets.  When Enzo got sick, we all wanted to make sure that the pup and kitty cat were taken care of...  It looked (and frankly was) so very bleak.  After months at Children's Hospital, Enzo walked out - wearing his Superman shirt and is home and on the mend. To whomever you talk to - please continue to offer words for Enzo... he has a journey ahead but he is SUPERMAN!  His parents are an inspiration.

Other than saying this - I still support PAWS... I can't comment beyond that.

His words must have touched a lot of us...

"I am not a spiritualist. I do not worship birds and trees. But there is a connection between the peace Ms. Bear and I found early Thursday morning outside in the dawn, and the egret, and the falcon. I do not know exactly what it is, but it is.

Oliver A. Houck is a professor of law at Tulane University."
He is the author of "Down on the Batture."

August - Top 5 read and shared blog posts

1.  Could really use some help y'all - 8.6

One of our clients who happens to be a K9 Police Officer, was helping this family place these babies.  I know of 6 that were saved.  The puppy I post almost everyday is one of the four.  I sure hope the others found homes.

The same litter...

This was big news...

THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

What a hero did will restore it.

July Blog Recap

Top 5 read and shared!

1.  Although we LOVE CCV - 7.15

They love to come home and they do this every time we drop them off after they vacation there.  We have such a strong relationship with CCV.  I am so proud and honored that they did this.

This shocked me a little.  I know, I know, I know -  I get on my soapbox.  I realize as a business owner I should just ignore it and move on but sometimes I just can't.

3.  Last seen at 2pm in Audubon Park

I actually took that post down.  If you did not see it, it was a photo of a missing 14 year old girl who was found later that day.  I can't imagine  how her family felt in that moment and I can't imagine how she felt as her photo started spreading over social media.  Bless her little heart.

Okay it was two blocks... nevertheless.

I tried to find out if they found the dog but I have not been able to figure it out.  I hope they did.
